The Production Specialist Opportunity:
Splash 4 Partners is looking to fill a Production Specialist role to join its boutique consulting and diligence advisory firm. This role provides important editing, production, and positioning support to the firm’s project teams on client engagements. The Production Specialist is a new role at S4P responsible for editing, proofing, and helping to synthesize and better convey key ideas and findings in client deliverables and other client facing materials. This role requires strong experience in editing and expert capabilities in PowerPoint.
S4P works with private equity firms, middle market executives, and specialty lenders to make investment decisions, develop and execute growth strategies, identify acquisition targets, and enter new markets. Firm engagements range from deep dive industry studies to long-term strategy creation for organizations. We work in a very past paced, team-oriented environment, where we all rely on one another to execute with precision.
This role requires a mix of independent work and team collaboration. Project teams are typically comprised of four to six people. The average project lasts two to four weeks and moves at a very rapid pace. The nature of the projects, the function of the Production Specialist role, and the way we operate requires strong attention to detail, excellent editing and writing skills, superb PowerPoint capabilities, ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of information in short periods of time, capacity to think with precision and communicate in bullet points, strong and direct communication skills, and a strong desire to want to contribute to a team and consistently do excellent work. The Production Specialist role will report to and work most closely with the Team Project Leads on engagements. This role will work out of the Richmond, VA office (note: S4P is currently working from home with plans to be back in more traditional office space sometime in 2022).
What you bring to the table
Excellent editing and proofing skills, preferably in a business setting
Appreciation for appropriate grammar and punctuation—if not a stickler for it
Expert PowerPoint experience and skills
Strong writing skills, ability to effectively communicate in bullet points
Ability to effectively synthesize and summarize
Eye towards finding ways to convey ideas in fewer words and in visualizations
Organized, follows processes, looks for ways to improves processes, likes checklists
Strong attention to detail
Works well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Strong and direct communication skills (both orally and in written format)

Technologically savvy; in addition to expert skills in PowerPoint, strong other common Microsoft Office applications
Primary Responsibilities
Proof reading and editing client deliverables and other work product, often under tight deadlines; most common work product will be in PowerPoint and Word formats
Taking a lead role in producing client deliverables, especially 50 – 100-page PowerPoint decks; this is a combination of building slides from concepts communicated or sketched by teammates, synthesizing or otherwise improving upon the messaging and delivery of slides created by others, and otherwise working to improve the quality and effectiveness of the deliverables
Support the editing of internal training documents, marketing materials, and other items
Periodic support of primary and secondary research teams to help learn the overall process and support team objectives
